WHAT TYPES OF SELF-CONSUMPTION METHODS ARE ALLOWED IN SPAIN?

In Spain, we have two different modalities of self-consumption, which are regulated by royal decrees Law 15/2018, of October 5, and 244-2019 of April 5, 2019.

Mode without surplus

It is the mode in which the user consumes all the energy he produces with his installation of solar panels.

Modality with surpluses

It is the modality in which the user, in addition to producing his own electrical energy, can pour his unconsumed surpluses into the network and sell them to a supply company through a contract.

This last modality is very interesting, since it allows you to obtain benefits from your own installation.

Calculation of energy production based on installed capacity, taking into account various factors, such as aging, loss and duration of sunshine.

From the annual production we can calculate the amount of energy savings based on the price of the current electricity bill per kilowatt, and customers can save approximately up to 2,301.87 euros per year.

Savings are budgeted based on the current price of electricity and projected solar energy production.
